Kerala
By Our Staff Reporter
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. Anilkumar said he did not think that the minorities had ``cornered'' major benefits from the State Government using their ``organised power''. He, however, parried questions on the reported statement of the Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, that the minority communities should not think that the Government could be forced to do favour to them through collective bargaining. Mr. Anil Kumar demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the research works undertaken by the Centre for Development Studies (CDS) with foreign help. The allegation that the CDS had transmitted the information on Kerala's resources to the developed nations is very serious. Mr. Anil Kumar demanded that the Mararikkulam MLA, T.M. Thomas Isaac, resign following the allegation in the Padhom magazine that the People's Plan Campaign was planned in foreign nations and that Richard Frank and wife Barbara who were associated with it were CIA agents. The Mararikkulam development programme being implemented now is against the notions of decentralised development. He said the marketing company formed to distribute items produced by micro-industries was being filled with supporters of the CPI(M) and the Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad.
