The RSS joint general secretary, Madandas Devi, said, "we were expecting that the Acharya's efforts will bring success, but I think it will take more time." Ashok Singhal, VHP international president, said that though the Acharya's proposals were "alright", the issue of obtaining a "no-objection" from the Muslim Law Board on the undisputed site was confusing since "there was no undisputed site left".
