Bina Refinery is being set up by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The Marketing Terminal and the product pipeline, involving an investment of about Rs. 916 crores, would be of immense significance to this refinery project. The Marketing Terminal at Bina will have ultramodern facilities for storing finished petroleum products and their transportation through rail, road and pipeline. The product pipeline, once it gets commissioned, would ensure smooth supply of products to the refinery supply zones. The grassroot refinery project at Bina, which would produce modern environment-friendly fuels with a refining capacity of 6 million tonnes per year, along with the crude oil import facilities at Vadinar in Gujarat and a 935-km.-long crude oil pipeline from Vadinar to Bina is estimated to cost Rs. 6354 crores. The Bina Refinery project would contribute significantly towards creating direct and indirect employment opportunities besides boosting infrastructure and growth of down-stream and allied industries in and around the refinery complex.
