Ex-Meghalaya Minister arrested

Shillong June 27. In the wake of the ongoing controversy over a politician-militant nexus in Meghalaya, the former Minister and senior NCP leader, R. Marak, was arrested here today on charges of having links with ultras. Mr. Marak was summoned by the police at Laban this morning and arrested under Section 121/121 (A) IPC read with Section 21 (A), 21 (B) and 27 of the Arms Act, a top police official told UNI.
