Timings of Jansatabdi revised, Sabari extended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM June 27. Introduction of weekly express train between Jodhpur and Thiruvananthapuram, extension of Sabari Express to the capital and the Ernakulam-Kozhikode Express to Kannur besides revising the timings of Jansatabdi Express running between the capital and Ernakulam are the highlights of the new railway time table that comes into effect from July 1.

The railways have also diverted two express trains originating from Ernakulam— one from the Thiruvananthapuram central and another from Kanniyakumari— via Katpadi and Tirupati with effect from July 1 and has renumbered the 6363/6364 Kanniyakumari- Nizamuddin-Kanniyakumari Tirukkural Expresses as 2641/2642.

The 6312 Thiruvananthapuram-Jodhpur Weekly Express would depart Thiruvananthapuram Central on Saturdays at 1-30 p.m. to arrive at Jodhpur on Monday at 6-10 p.m.

The 6311 Jodhpur-Thiruvananthapuram Weekly Express would depart Jodhpur on Tuesdays at 11-55 p.m. to arrive at Thiruvananthapuram Central on Fridays at 4-40 a.m.

The train will stop only at Kollam, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur railway stations.

Both the express trains will have one Second Class AC, one Three Tier AC, nine sleeper class, four General Second Class, one pantry car, two general second class-cum-luggage van coaches. The date of commencement of the trains would be notified later.

The 7029/7039 Ernakulam-Hyderabad-Ernakulam Sabari Expresses has been extended to Thiruvananthapuram Central on three days a week and renumbered as 7027/7028.

However, the 7027/7028 trains would not henceforth touch the Ernakulam Junction railway station.

The 7027 Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad Sabari Express would depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 a.m. to arrive at Hyderabad at 1-40 p.m. the next day.

The 7028 Hyderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express would depart from Hyderabad on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12 noon to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 6-25 p.m. the next day.

According to railways, the first service of the 7028 Sabari Express from Hyderabad would commence on July 1 and that of the 7027 Sabari Express from Thiruvananthapuram from July 3.

The 8689/8690 Alappuzha-Bokaro Steel City/Tata Expresses has been extended to Dhanbad and renumbered as 3351/3352. The first service of the 3352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express would commence on July 4. The 3352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express would depart Alappuzha at 6 a.m. to arrive at Dhanbad at 4-15 p.m. The 3351 Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express would depart Dhanbad at 10 a.m. to arrive at Alappuzha at 8-35 p.m.

The 6363/6364 Kanniyakumari-Nizamuddin-Kanniyakumari Tirukurral Expresses has been renumbered as 2641/2642. The 2641 Kanniyakumari-Nizamuddin Express would depart Kanniyakumari on Wednesdays at 12-55 p.m. to arrive at Nizamuddin at 5-40 p.m. on Friday.

The 2642 Nizamuddin-Kanniyakumari Express would depart Nizamuddin on Saturdays at 6-40 a.m. to arrive at Kanniyakumari on Monday at 10 a.m.

The 2641 and 2642 expresses would run via Nagercoil, Satur, Madurai, Kodaikanal Road, Trichy, Chennai Egmore, Vijayawada, Nagpur, Bhopal and Jhansi, according to railways.

With effect from July 1, four express trains leaving from the originating station on both directions have been diverted via Katpadi and Tirupati.

These include the 7029/7030 Ernakulam-Hyderabad-Ernakulam Expresses, the 7027/7028 Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Expresses, the 1082/1081 Kanniyakumari-Mumbai CSTM-Kanniyakumari Expresses and the 6359/6360 Ernakulam-Rajendra Nagar Terminus-Ernakulam Expresses.

Jansatabdi Express: The 2076 Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam Jansatabdi Express would depart Thiruvananthapuram Central at 6-05 a.m. daily from July 1 instead of the present 5-50 a.m. to reach Ernakulam junction at 9-45 a.m.

The train would depart Kollam Junction at 7-03 a.m. and Alappuzha railway station at 8-20 a.m.

In the return, the 2075 Ernakulam-Thiruvananthapuram Jansatabdi Express will depart from Ernakulam junction at 5-40 p.m. daily instead of the present 5-15 p.m. to arrive at Thiruvananthapuram central at 9-15 p.m.

The train would depart from Alappuzha at 6-33 p.m. and from Kollam junction at 7-53 p.m.

The 6305 Ernakualm-Kozhikode Express that has been extended up to Kannur would depart Ernakulam at 6-45 a.m. to arrive at Kannur at 1-15 p.m.

The 6306 Kannur-Ernakulam Express would depart Kannur at 3-45 p.m. to arrive at Ernakulam at 9-45 p.m.
