Letters to the Editor
Sir I appreciate the patriotic sensibility and sense of reality in the article of Rajindar Sachar `U.S. role in Indo-Pak. ties' ( June 26 ). He has raised the question very well whether it is a quid pro quo for restraining the Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf. The article highlights the cunningness of the U.S., the amity between India and Iraq, the hidden and dove-like techniques of Gen. Musharraf and, of course, the ugly faces of the Indian political parties, including the BJP and the Congress. The article nowhere seems to be giving a signal that the U.S. has considered India and Pakistan as "the horses for the courses".
