Explosion near mosque

Ahmedabad June 25. A bomb went off in a house near a mosque at Vatva locality here late tonight leaving three persons injured, police said.

Inspector S.K. Ninama of the Vatva police station said the incident took place in the Gaffori Masjid area at around 9.45 p.m. The Joint Commissioner of Police, Kashav Kumar, said the blast was very powerful blowing away a slab of the concrete roof of the house. Sources said three persons, who were in the house where the bomb blast occurred, were taken to a private hospital. — PTI
