Toll rises to 51

Vaibhavwadi (Maharashtra) June 24. Seventeen more bodies were recovered from the mangled coaches of the Mumbai-bound holiday special train, raising the toll in Sunday's accident on the Konkan Railways to 51, even as rescue operations continued today amidst heavy downpour.

Sixty injured passengers have been admitted to various hospitals at Oros, Ratnagiri, Kankavli and Goa, official sources told PTI here. The condition of 15 was stated to be serious.
