Normal water supply in City from today

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE June 19. Water supply to Bangalore city area, affected since Wednesday, is likely to become normal by Friday.

A Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) statement said that pumping water from the Cauvery Water Supply Scheme Stage-IV, Phase-I, was completely stopped on Wednesday. "Water released from the Kabini Reservoir is yet to reach the head works of the BWSSB at Netkal Balancing Reservoir,'' the release said.

Due to reduced availability of water in the Cauvery, pumping from the Cauvery Water Supply Scheme stages I, II and III had been reduced to 300 million litres per day.
