Two millitants killed

Villagers around the body of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant, Mohd Yousf, who was killed by security forces at Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir.

Two militants were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, official sources said here today.

The ultras were killed in a fierce gunbattle with security forces in the Old Town area of the district, sources said.

The encounter began at around 10.30 p.m., they said, adding the deceased have been identified as Mohammad Yousuf Malik and Mohammad Shafi Shiekh.
