Pointing to the fact that it was Mr. Kalanidhi Maran who paid for the Minister's treatment in Chennai, Mr. Karunanidhi said that Mr. Maran's son was also paying for the cost of maintaining the family members who were taking care of the Minister. ``In this context, Kalanithi feels that he should also bear the total cost involved in the treatment of his father in the United States. Hence, he will pay/reimburse the Government of India, all expenditure incurred so far, apart from footing future expenditure,'' Mr. Karunanidhi said, in the letter dated June 18, a copy of which was released to the press.
