Power situation in city to improve soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM June 18. The power supply position in Thiruvananthapuram city would improve once the new 66KV substation was commissioned and the existing electric lines replaced. Both these works were progressing well, informed Kadavoor Sivadasan, the Minister for Electricity.

In reply to a question raised in the State Assembly today by K.Mohankumar, the Minister said complaints on erratic power supply were being attended to within four hours in the city areas and within 24 hours in the villages.

The Chief Minister A.K.Antony, in reply to another question by Mr.Mohankumar, informed the house that the State Government has been having correspondence with the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court on the issue of setting up a Bench of the High Court at Thiruvananthapuram.
