Ready to surrender

AHMEDABAD June 18. A team of the Surat police left for Mumbai today after the advocate for Surendra Shetty, father of Hindi film actress Shilpa Shetty, withdrew his anticipatory bail application and told the Gujarat High Court that he was ready to ``surrender'' in connection with the alleged ``extortion'' case.

The High Court had on Tuesday given Mr. Shetty's advocate time till 11 a.m. today to submit ``additional reasons'' for the anticipatory bail.
