Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
The Cabinet sub-committee on welfare of backward classes, at its first meeting at the Secretariat today, felt that all 93 castes in the State list of BCs should be taken care of and not merely some, under the present "one crore boon'' programme of the Government. The Finance Minister, Y. Ramakrishnudu, who chaired the meeting attended by the Ministers for Home, T. Devender Goud, and the Minister for BC Welfare, N. Narasimha Rao, said later that they held discussions on proper methodology to be adopted for identification of beneficiaries and for solving working capital problems.
