The Delhi lad who had a good outing in Uzbekistan earlier, lost 2-6, 1-6 to Mehdi Ziadi of Morocco in the semifinals. He had done well to overcome Andre Moreira of Brazil 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 in the quarterfinals. Divij beat Rodrigo Maya of Portugal 7-5, 6-2 and Mohamed Saber of Morocco 6-4, 6-2 in the first two rounds, in that order. In doubles, Divij and Tushar Liberhan lost 6-3, 4-6, 6-7 (6-8) in the semifinals to Pierre-Ludovic Duclos of Canada and Luka Ocvirk of Slovenia. The Indian duo had beaten Paul Morrisey of Ireland and Tonci Peric of Croatia 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 in the quarterfinals after accounting for Omar Fayache and Hichem Yacoubi of Tunisia 6-3, 6-2 in the first round. Tushar could not make much headway in singles, and lost 7-6 (10-8), 4-6, 3-6 to Pierre Ludovic Duclos of Canada in the first round. There were a few Indian girls trying their luck in the tournament but none of them could make an impression. Pooja Kommireddi made it to the quarterfinals before losing 4-6, 2-6 to Fatima El Allami of Morocco. She had beaten Majda Nachit of Morocco 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 in the pre-quarterfinals after a bye in the first. Marutha Devi lost 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 3-6 to Kenza Belbacka of Morocco in the second round after a bye in the first. Parul Goswami lost 0-6, 1-6 to Marina Erakovic of New Zealand in the second round after beating Rym Kilani of Tunisia 6-1, 6-3 in the first. Krushmi Chheda lost 4-6, 1-6 to Zineb Hilali of Morocco after a bye in the first. Punam Reddy lost 4-6, 0-6 to Fatima Zahr El Allami of Morocco in the first round. In partnership with Parul Goswami, Punam lost 5-7, 6-2, 4-6 to Kenza Belbacha and Zineb Hilali of Morocco in the quarterfinals after a bye in the first round. Pooja Kommireddi and Oormila Ram also went down in three sets, 2-6, 6-4, 2-6 to Zineb El Ouazzani of Morocco and Valentine Fauviau of France. Krushmi Chheda and Marutha Devi lost tamely 1-6, 3-6 to Fatima Zahr El Allami and Majda Nachit of Morocco in the second round after a bye in the first.
