Letters to the Editor
Sir, __ Your Editorial `Stop smoking on screen' ( June 12 ) is laudable. No doubt smoking is a bad habit. But what about things which are shown on the screen such as sex, robbery, rapes, violence and use of abusive words against Gods and a particular community in the name of comedy? Are they not more harmful than smoking? Millions of people watch these everyday. We read reports of gruesome murders and violence daily. Aren't the serials and movies influencing people? After all, human beings are a mixture of `Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'.
