Letters to the Editor
Sir, Gen. Musharraf had given a practical and meaningful interview ( June 14 ). Though he was blunt at times, he did not appear to be a warmonger. Our `so-called' political bigwigs would do well to maintain a diplomatic silence and try and take the peace talks forward. Kashmir is the main issue and it has to be resolved one way or the other. The other aspects of bilateral relations can be looked into only when the killings stop and peace prevails in the Valley. Let us both go with an open mind to the negotiating table and try to resolve the issue instead of putting spokes into the peace process with meaningless statements and retorts.
Suraj Sundar,
