Shetty's bail plea rejected

AHMEDABAD June 17. The Gujarat High Court today refused to accept the anticipatory bail plea of Surendra Shetty, the father of actress, Shilpa Shetty, in the alleged "extortion" case but gave him time till 11 a.m. tomorrow to submit "additional reasons" for its acceptance.

The High Court, which had earlier this month given him protection against arrest till today, did not specify about extending the interim relief further.
