By Our Staff Reporter
The Delhi Finance and Planning Minister, Mahinder Singh Saathi, who chaired a meeting of the State Government's Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC), said that the Committee had approved the proposal to construct a 64-bed maternity and child hospital at Naseerpur worth Rs.27.93 crores which would be completed within three years. ``A resolution for establishing the hospital in the Naseerpur Assembly constituency had already been passed by the Delhi Legislative Assembly under the Scheme of Opening of New Hospitals'' the Minister said. Mr. Saathi also informed that the National Cadet Corps will soon have its own building at Sector 19 in Rohini on which the Delhi Government would spend Rs.2 crores. Similarly, to ease traffic movement on the Ring Road-Punjabi Bagh Club crossing in West Delhi, it has been decided to construct a flyover on Ring Road near the junction. The new flyover, for which Rs.18.15 crores have been sanctioned, would not only increase the average travel speed at the busy crossing but also reduce pollution level, Mr. Saathi added.
