Andhra Pradesh
By Our Special Correspondent
``They might have had a secret formula to get 250 seats in the next elections. The Congress should use the same formula in Delhi so that they can return to power at the Centre,'' he said. Addressing a press conference here, the TDP president said the Congress' statements criticising the Government were only indicative of their lust for power and the party was bent on politicising every issue to get back to power. "While we speak about politics only during elections, the Congressmen are polluting the atmosphere by trying to politicise everything,'' he remarked. The Chief Minister said several national agencies rated Andhra Pradesh as the best in terms of population control, environmental protection, literacy, power and other indicators, but the Congress leaders were still continuing their criticism of the Government to gain political mileage. The neighbouring Karnataka, for instance, was resorting to 17-hour load shedding in power supply where only four-hour supply was being given to three-phase meters and the single phase meters were getting three-hour supply. In respect of the power tariffs too, the State was charging the lowest when compared to many Congress-ruled States.
