Cong. men open fire, 8 injured

PATNA June 13. Eight persons were injured when local Congress supporters indulged in indiscriminate firing to welcome the newly-appointed Bihar PCC chief, Ram Jatan Sinha, here today.

Armed supporters, who swarmed the airport to receive Mr. Sinha on his return from Delhi after his appointment on Wednesday, went berserk as the procession entered the Boring Canal Road. One of the supporters opened fire with the muzzle down and as a result splinters hit the onlookers.
