No stopping Kiran Sihag

MTNL, Delhi's Kiran Sihag who beat Sunil of Haryana in the senior's 67 kg category of the National women's wrestling championship in Chennai on Saturday.

CHENNAI MAY 24. There was no stopping the 21-year-old International Kiran Sihag of MTNL, Delhi. Winner of 67 kg category for the last six years, Kiran went about her task seriously to tame Sunil (Haryana) in the third round of the senior's category of the National women's wrestling championship at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium here on Saturday.

Kiran felled her opponent in one minute and 30 seconds to book a place in the semifinals.

In a 55 Kg senior section bout, International and National Games bronze medallist Ng. Ibemcha Devi of Manipur fought a technically superior game to defeat Sheenu Jain of MTNL Delhi.

From Tamil Nadu, Delhi imports Indu Sharma in the 55 kg category and Seema (43 kg) made it to the last four.
