Letters to the Editor
Sir, The issue of national holidays was rightly raised by the Congress members, Saifuddin Soz and Rajeev Shukla, in the Rajya Sabha, with a demand to limit the present 201 holidays per year as reported, to just three Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanthi. If our holidays are much more than our working days, how can we realise our dream of becoming a developed nation? It is time policy-makers realised the importance of time and work in the context of national growth and development.
