Finding no fault with the observations of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy that the CFT had no locus standi in talking about poll alliances or a separate PCC, he remarked "Congress party has a high command. Issues like separate PCC for Telangana will be dealt with it and we have no power to make decisions or announcements on such matters. Even Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy admitted that he recognises the Telangana sentiment. What more do you expect him to do?'' He added that intemperate remarks were causing harm to the party and the matter would be drawn to the notice of the high command. The controversy is bound to flare up during Ghulam Nabi Azad's visit to the city on May 16. Mr. Azad, who is the new incharge of the party affairs of AP, will address a meeting of PCC office-bearers and senior leaders. The APCC president hinted at lodging a complaint against Mr. Goverdhan Reddy. It is time the high command settled the question of separate PCC for Telangana "once for all'' he said as the CFT leaders are in the habit of making certain claims every time they visit Delhi. Thanking the chairman of the all India BC cell of the party, P. Shiv Shankar, for joining Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy's yatra, he said it would be better if "others'' too followed suit. Mr. Satyanarayan Rao lambasted the INTUC president, G. Sanjeeva Reddy, for his pro-imperialist and pro-capitalist stand. "What sort of a trade unionist is he? He opposes every agitation and strike. When the Congress launched an agitation along with Left parties on power tariff a couple of years ago, he opposed it.
