Ashok Leyland sales dip

NEW DELHI: Ashok Leyland has reported a 27.4 per cent dip in sales in April at 1,622 units against 2,236 units in the year ago month. While domestic sales declined by 28.1 per cent to 1,542 units, exports fell by 12 per cent to 80 units in the review month, a company statement said here. The April sales were also down by 69.3 per cent as compared to 5,293 vehicles sold in March 2003. In April this year, the company registered a 27.4 per cent decline in domestic sales of medium duty commercial vehicles at 1,537 units
