Tendulkar for U.S.

Mumbai April 26. Indian batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar, left for the U.S. tonight for an operation on his left hand ring finger. Mr. Tendulkar told reporters at the airport that he would undergo the operation at a hospital in Baltimore and would be away for six weeks.

The injury was caused due to the ``wear and tear of playing non-stop cricket'' while playing the World Cup in South Africa, he said.
