Hottest summer day in city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM April 25. The city recorded the hottest summer day of the season so far on Friday, with the mercury level touching 36.9 degrees Celsius.

According to the Met Centre here, the highest temperature registered till date in the city during summer has been 38 degrees, which was a few years ago. The minimum temperature recorded on Friday was also very high, at 27 degree Celsius, while normally the minimum temperature stands at 24-25 degrees, the Director, Met Centre, K.K.K. Kutty, said.
