AI flights not affected

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM April 25. Air India flights from the international airport here were not affected today in the wake of the certification demanded by the Indian Pilots Guild that no cockpit or cabin crew operated to Singapore in the past 10 days in the wake of the SARS outbreak.

The AI 984 Dubai-Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai flight arrived in the wee hours as per schedule and the AI 904/943 Alain-Kochi-Thiruvananthapuram-Muscat flight operated as usual.

The AI 904 flight, which arrived from Kochi almost one hour behind schedule, left after one hour with some passengers who were stranded due to the cancellation of the flight on Thursday.

The airline does not have any stranded passenger in Thiruvananthapuram, according to the Air India Manager, R. Ghosh. The airline management had not communicated to them on the fate of the flights to Dubai, Abudhabi and Muscat on Saturday.
