New Delhi April 24. Away from the media glare and the arc lights, Indian cricket's favourite son Sachin Tendulkar today celebrated his 30th birthday quietly.

Millions of his fans the world over wished him good luck and many more years in international cricket.

Tendulkar spent the entire day with his family and close friends at an undisclosed location.

But a cricket crazy nation paid tribute to the legend who has for long carried the cricketing expectations of billions of fans.
