BJD splits in LS

NEW DELHI APRIL 23. The Biju Janata Dal Parliamentary party today suffered a split, with four of its MPs seeking a separate seating arrangement in the Lok Sabha.

Prasanna Patasani, Prabhat Samantray, Kumudini Patnaik and Jagannath Mallick, who have been opposed to the Orissa Chief Minister and party chief, Naveen Patnaik, called on the Speaker, Manohar Joshi, and handed over a letter requesting him to allocate separate seats to them.
