VHP, police clash

Jaipur April 20. Eight persons were injured today when a group of VHP activists clashed with the police at Bali town in Rajasthan after a leader of the organisation was arrested for displaying a trident, police sources said.

However, a planned `trishul diksha' programme by the VHP was prevented. Instead, the organisation held a ``dharmasabha'' attended by over 2,500 VHP and Bajrang Dal activists.
