India has WMD, says Pak.

By B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD APRIL 20. Pakistan today claimed that it has proof about not only India developing chemical and biological weapons but also having kept them "in some neighbouring countries".

The Pakistan Information and Media Development Minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, made the charge in a phone-in interview to a Pakistani private television channel, Geo. He was responding to a question on a report from Washington put out by the state-controlled Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on how India `continues' to develop Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).

The report quotes the United States' Director of Central Intelligence as having said in an unclassified report to Congress on the acquisition of technology relating to WMD and advanced conventional munitions. The Minister told the channel that the American intelligence reports were "correct". He made these charges a few days ago and the Indian Government had dismissed them as totally baseless.
