Aviation Minister faces passengers' ire

BHUBANESWAR APRIL 17. The Civil Aviation Minister, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, had a difficult time inside the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Indian Airlines flight this afternoon when his co-passengers blamed him for the flight delay.

The Minister had arrived here from New Delhi by the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar flight around noon to unveil the statue of the late Biju Patnaik at the Biju Patnaik Airport and was to return to New Delhi by the same flight. As the passengers blamed him for the 30-minute-delay, the Minister reportedly apologised for the same and came out of the plane. Afterwards, he flew to Mumbai by an Indian Airlines flight.

The flight to New Delhi was delayed as the airport authorities kept it waiting for the Minister. The statue inauguration function was organised by the Airports Authority of India.
