Karnataka-Bangalore
By Our Staff Reporter
Intranet mailers from senior company officials and open discussions with employees have allayed fears to some extent, according to J.Gilbert of Huawei Technologies. However, 40 employees who returned from these regions to Bangalore have been asked to undergo a thorough medical examination. "After being subjected to the (medical) test, we found that there was no necessity to quarantine them. We have asked our employees in China to avoid public places and maintain hygiene. We have also provided masks, sterilised their apartments, office space, and vehicles. Earlier, we had 120 people from India working in these regions. Since April 15, 15 of them have returned to Bangalore... it is not necessarily related to the epidemic as we have just completed some projects," he added.
