Hurriyat calls for strike

SRINAGAR APRIL 16. The Hurriyat Conference today gave a two-day call for general strike in Kashmir from Friday to protest the two-day visit of the Prime Minister, A.B. Vajpayee, to the Valley. The Hizb-ul-Mujahideen has also called for a general strike during Mr. Vajpayee's visit.
