By B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD APRIL 12. The Pakistani Maritime Security Agency has arrested 38 Indian fishermen for allegedly fishing in the Pakistani waters, and confiscated 11 boats, bringing the total number of detained Indians to over 200.

In March, over 70 Indian fishermen were arrested. Only a few days ago, a senior officer of the Indian High Commission had travelled to Karachi to verify the identity of some of the fishermen detained in jails. Pakistan had recently released 280 fishermen out of the 400 in its custody for one long year.
