V.C. Shukla joins NCP

MUMBAI APRIL 11. Stating that the Congress had deviated from its policies and ideology, the senior leader and former Union Minister, Vidya Charan Shukla, today resigned from the party to join the National Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar.

Mr. Pawar told reporters here that the nine-time MP would be the Chhattisgarh unit chief.
