Leyland vehicle sales up 23 p.c.

NEW DELHI APRIL 10. Ashok Leyland today said its sales during March 2003 rose by 15.5 per cent to 5,293 units from 4,582 units in the same month last year. For the year up to March 31, 2003, total sales jumped by 22.8 per cent to 36,445 vehicles from 29,673 vehicles in the previous fiscal.

During 2002-03, the Hinduja group flagship's domestic vehicle sales surged by 23.2 per cent to 33,895 units while exports jumped by 17.5 per cent to 2,550 units.
