Suicide bid on HC premises

HYDERABAD April 9. Two junior film artistes attempted suicide on the High Court premises, one of them along with her two kids, by consuming poison on Wednesday afternoon. Firdous (28), her children Maria (10), and Juerya (9), and her sister Feroze (25), swallowed sleeping pills near the 25th Court premises. They were found lying unconscious by some advocates and were shifted to the OGH where they were declared out of danger. In a suicide note written in Urdu, the duo said they were being harassed by their elder sister, Siddiqua and her paramour, Mannan, who was forcing them to take to flesh trade. Firdous, a divorcee, and Feroze were staying with their elder sister at Happy Home apartments in Tolichowki.

Tiger skin seized

An auto driver V Krishna (25), of Palvancha in Khammam district, was arrested by the Task Force sleuths from a lodge at Patny Centre in Secunderabad, and a tiger skin was seized from him.

Two drowned

Two boys, both students of a L.B. Nagar school, were drowned in the Bandlaguda pond, on the city outskirts on Tuesday, according to the police. They were P. Shiva Kumar (15), and K. Sai Kumar (10), of RTC Colony in L.B. Nagar.
