Spirit seizure: hunt on for accused

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM April 9. A manhunt is on to arrest Sudhi (30) from whose premises the Nemom police had seized more than 18,000 litres of spirit late on Wednesday night.

The CI (Nemom), Ajay Babu, who is in charge of the investigation, said that efforts were on to identify Sudhi's clients as well as associates.

Meanwhile, the police today collected liquor samples from the 418 jerry cans of spirit. The samples were produced before the court as evidence. They would be sent to the Chief Chemical Examiner's Laboratory for examination.

Police are also probing the complicity of certain relatives of Sudhi, including a police constable, in connection with the seizure.
