For winner, the goals came through Marcos Pereira in the 4th, 15th, Agnelo Gomes in 32nd minute, 53rd, 54th, 56th minutes, Minino Fernandes in the 36th minute and Rui Wanderely Weis in the 81st minute. With this win, Vasco maintained their second place with 37 points registering ten wins, seven draws and two defeats out of 18 outings, below league leaders East Bengal with 43 points. HAL Bangalore struggling from relegation remained on the same 11th position with 8 points from equal number of outings. The home team got off to an aggressive start with strikers and midfield constantly threatening the rival goal and shot into the lead as early as in the 4th minute of the contest through Marcos Pereira off a pass received from Jules Alberto Dias. Vasco increased its lead in the 15th minute again through Marcos Pereira whose power packed shot hit the rival defender Gregery Clark and deflected into the net 2-0. Inspired by two goals, Vasco continued to attack and Agnelo Gomes scored the third goal for his side in the 32 minute off a well measured pass from Jules Alberto Dias 3-0. Minino Fernandes made it 4-0. After receiving a pass from Marcus Pereira, Minino Fernandes unleashed a pile driver shot from the top of the box which found the net, and at the breather Vasco were leading by 4-0. After change of ends Vasco continued to attack with the same tempo and pumped in another four goals through Agnelo Gomes in the 53rd, 54th and 56th minute and Rui Wanderely put a last nail in HAL coffin in the 81st minute to win the match with ease 8-0.
