The 348th ranked Bopanna, who dropped his serve when serving for the match at 5-4, but recovered his ground to win in straight sets, will take on wild card entrant Alexander Jakupovic of Greece in the pre-quarterfinals. Bopanna has not entered the doubles, and will be playing another Futures tournament in Greece next week, before rushing home for the two Challenger tournaments to be held in Bangalore and Delhi.
