Mr. Haruo Takiguchi, President and CEO, HMSI, said Eterno would be available in the market by the end of next month. He declined to disclose the price of the product, but said the target was for selling one lakh units in the first year. Though the full size scooter market in India was losing its volumes to motorcycles, the company was confident that Eterno would do well, he said. "We take this as a challenge and opportunity,'' he said. Eterno, the first Honda vehicle with a side-mounted engine, will reactivate the declining scooter segment, he said.
