VAT from June

NEW DELHI APRIL 8. The controversial Value-Added Tax (VAT) will now be implemented from June 1 after at least 16 States agreed to go ahead with the regime at a crucial meeting of the Empowered Committee of the State Finance Ministers here today, the Committee chairman, Asim Dasgupta, said. A few more will join the list before June.
