Air passenger quarantined

HYDERABAD APRIL 8. A passenger from Singapore on his way to Mumbai was quarantined at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here today afternoon after he was suspected to be suffering from symptoms of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

Anthony (45), a native of Kozhikode, complained of fever and cough and reported at the SARS screening centre at the airport premises. The medical team immediately shifted him to a block at the Government General and Chest Hospital that has been earmarked for treating suspected SARS cases.
