"Yes I was expecting a call from the selectors and it feels good,'' Avishkar said on his being selected to the Indian team. Salvi is in Bangalore as part of the Elite B team that is scheduled to play against Elite A in the Duleep Trophy match commencing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Thursday. "Avishkar Salvi is a terrific prospect,'' Dilip Vengsarkar, BCCI Talent Resource Development Committee Chairman had remarked when Salvi had been training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The former India skipper's faith was justified as Avishkar picked 29 wickets in the recent Carribean tour. "I bowled well in the West Indies and I hope to live up to my standards in the Tri-series. I don't want to discuss my goals but obviously bowling well is one of them,'' Avishkar said.
