Ganga is one of three players in the eleven to have represented the West Indies in Test cricket. Opening batsman Ganga has played 17 Tests, all outside the Caribbean. Fast bowlers Marlon Black of Trinidad and Tobago and Adam Sanford of the Leeward Islands also have limited Test experience. Windward Islands left-hander Devon Smith will partner Ganga at the top of the order, with Dwayne Bravo, Aneil Kanhai, Sylvester Joseph and Narsingh Deonarine completing the batting line-up. Jamaican Carlton Baugh Jr. is the wicket-keeper. Black and Sanford are the sole specialist pacers chosen by the West Indies selectors. Lanky off-spinner Omari Banks and left-arm wrist spinner Dave Mohammed complete the attack. The three-day match is set for Everest Cricket Club in Guyana's capital, Georgetown, beginning on Saturday.
The Australians arrive in the Caribbean on Wednesday for their tour, which includes four Tests and seven one-day internationals. The squad: Daren Ganga (captain), Devon Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Aneil Kanhai, Sylvester Joseph, Narsingh Deonarine, Carlton Baugh Jr., Omari Banks, Dave Mohammed, Marlon Black, Adam Sanford. Reserves: Travis Dowlin, Rayon Griffith. AP
