Deoria tense after sacrilege in place of worship

Lucknow April 2. Tension prevailed in parts of Deoria after sacrilegious pieces were found in a mosque in the heart of the city this morning, a spokesman of the Home Department said here.

While the items were removed from the shrine premises, tension prevailed in the area.

Additional Police Armed Constabulary has been deployed there and senior officials were camping there.

However, no one has been arrested in connection with the incident so far and investigation is on, he said. — PTI
