Vivek Oberoi's allegations against Salman

MUMBAI APRIL 1. Salman Khan, who has been on the wrong side of the law in the past for alleged poaching and for allegedly running over sleeping pedestrians in a car, was once again in the news on Tuesday with the Bollywood star, Vivek Oberoi, accusing the actor of "threatening to kill him, abusing and indulging in character assassination."

Addressing a press conference at his residence here, Mr. Oberoi said that Mr. Khan had called him up over phone 41 times in a single night and accused him of having a string of affairs with numerous co-stars, including a top heroine.

Mr. Khan was not available for comment.

Mr. Oberoi alleged that Mr. Khan also threatened to come over to his place and "kill him." He also hurled abuses against him and his father. He had informed police and was planning to file a case. Police had offered him protection, but he had turned it down.

The Juhu police, however, said they had not received any complaint from Mr. Oberoi. — PTI
