Eicher Motors' sales during March have jumped by 55.1 per cent to 1,610 units from 1,038 units in the same month last year, including 103 units of the recently-launched heavy commercial vehicle, Jumbo, and exports of 103 units of light and medium vehicles, according to a company release. For the year ended March 2003, sales increased by 32 per cent to 12,717 units from 9,630 units in 2001-02. It comprised 281 units of HCV and exports of 1,331 light and medium vehicles. "Our performance reflects continued confidence among customers of the value delivered by our products that are designed for specific applications and provide the lowest cost of ownership through their life cycle," Eicher Motors Chief Executive, Rakesh Kalra, said.
